D flip flop is used as a 1-bit memory element because this flip-flop stores the value that is on the data line and then forwards the same data.

Here by 1-bit memory element means that we are storing the 1- bit data and then forwarding it without manipulating it.i.e. just to store a memory element.

Why not any other flip flop as all flip flop store 1 bit data only?

On gatebook platform they are saying ans as D-flip flop.
