Generally speedup is less than number of stages in pipelining.(s < m)

Efficiency of a pipeline (E) = Speedup/no. of stages in pipelining

so,

no. of stages in pipelining =Speedup / Efficiency

no. of stages in pipelining = 10 /0.8 = 12.5(approx. equal to 13)

option C will be correct

We can use the Formula , Efficiency= Speed up / No of stsges in pipeline

Therefore,        80/100=10/x and by solving x=12.5 (13 apprx)
