A. One cannot open a gift box while hugging. Correct form should be, After hugging his mother, he opened the gift box
B. "superior to" should be used and not "superior than". Comparative adjectives inferior, superior, senior, junior, anterior, posterior etc. are followed by to and not "than".
C. This is an example of dangling modifier. Descriptions need to be placed next to the person or thing they are describing. The correct form here should be, While driving down the street, I saw them playing. (I was driving and so I and driving should not have playing in between)
D. This is correct. Here, "laughing out loud" is a present participle phrase describing Teja. "Laughing" here is not a gerund though as in the sentence "Laughing is good for health".
