The price of the book is marked $30\%$ above the C.P. If the marked price of the book is $\text{Rs.} 2021,$ then what is the cost of the paper used in a single copy of the book (rounded to $2$ decimal points)?

Answer 1

Marked price of the book $= 130%\;\text{of C.P.}$

Also, cost of paper $= 38%\;\text{of C.P}$

Let the cost of paper for a single book be $Rs.\; x.$

Then, $x = .38 \times 2021/1.3 = 590.75.$
