$\text{P+Q}$ means $\text{P}$ is the brother of $\text{Q}; \; \text{P-Q}$ means $\text{P}$ is the mother of $\text{Q}$ and $\text{P} \times \text{Q}$ means $\text{P}$ is the sister of $\text{Q}.$ Which of the following means $\text{M}$ is the maternal uncle of $\text{R}$ ?

  1. $\text{M – R + K}$

  1. M – R + K    means M is mother of R and R is brother of K. So here M is mother of K So option A is false.

  2. M + K – R    means M is brother of K and K is mother of R. So here M and K are siblings and K is mother of R so,M should be maternal uncle of R.  Hence option B is CORRECT.

  3.  M + K x R  means  M is brother of K and K is sister of R. So here M,K,R all siblings so option C is False
  4. M + K + R means M is brother of K and K is brother of R means all three are siblings to each other So,option D is false
