The following question is based on the information given below:

Data of $450$ candidates, who took part in an examination in social sciences, Mathematics and Science is given as below :

Number of Students who :

  • passed in all subjects are $167$
  • failed in science $= 191$ 
  • failed in Mathematics $= 199$ 
  • failed in Social sciences $= 175$ 
  • failed in all subjects $= 60$ 
  • passed in Science only $= 52$
  • passed in Mathematics only $= 48$
  • passed in Social sciences only $= 62.$

How many failed in two subjects only?

  1. $162$
  2. $152$
  3. $100$

It is asking failed in two subjects which means passed in only one subject,

So, passed in only maths, only science, only social science.

That is 48+52+62=162
