Consider the following relationships among members of a family of six persons $\text{A, B, C, D, E}$ and $\text{F}:$

  1. The number of males equals that of females.
  2. $\text{A}$ and $\text{E}$ are sons of $\text{F}.$
  3. $\text{D}$ is the mother of two, one boy and one girl.
  4. $\text{B}$ is the son of $\text{A}.$
  5. There is only one married couple in the family at present.

Which one of the following inferences can be drawn from the above?

  1. $\text{A, B}$ and $\text{C}$ are all females
  2. $\text{A}$ is the husband of $\text{D}$
  3. $\text{E}$ and $\text{F}$ are children of $\text{D}$
  4. $\text{D}$ is the daughter of $\text{F}$

According to the given information, we can conclude the following things:

  1. out of 6 members, there are $3$ male and $3$ female members.
  2. $A, E$ are the male member, they are siblings, related to $F$
  3. $D$ is female. having one male and one female child.
  4. $B$ is the male (son) of $A$, so $A$, from point 3 we can see $D, A$ are a couple because it is given that only one married couple is there, and $B, D$ are their children.

So $F,C,D$ are female,$A,B,E$ are male members.

Option (B) is correct.
