In the following question, a statement is followed by two assumptions numbered $\text{I}$ and $\text{II}.$ Consider the statement and the following assumptions to decide which of the assumptions is implicit in the statement :

$\textbf{Statement :}$ All the employees are notified that the organization will provide transport facilities at half the cost from the nearby railway station to the office except those who have been provided with travelling allowance.

$\textbf{Assumption:}$

  1. Most of the employees will travel by the office transport.
  2. Those who are provided with travelling allowance will not read such notice.
  1. If only assumption $\text{I}$ is implicit;
  2. If either $\text{I}$ or $\text{II}$ is implicit;
  3. If only assumption $\text{II}$ is implicit;
  4. If neither $\text{I}$ nor $\text{II}$ is implicit.

Answer :- D

1. From given statement, we cannot make any assumptions about how many employees will or will not use office transport.

2. How can those people already know that notice is related to transportation without reading it beforehand. Moreover, given statement doesn't suggest anything which supports this assumption.

Ans: A

The facility given by the office shall be an added privilege and many employees will avail of the same. So, I is implicit. Also, the statement 'All the employees are notified.....' implies that the notice is for all the employees. So, II is not implicit.
