How many students get shortlisted for MTech CSE in IIIT Hyderabad PGEE ?

I know they don't release these data but what is the estimated number of candidates according to previous data?

what is the message you get when you are allotted a seat? i got the message, “You have been shortlisted for further consideration. Please await further information.”

does that mean i’m in? i’m aware this might come across as incredibly stupid, but any advice is deeply appreciated.

First of all No question is ever stupid !

 

And shortlisted means you have cleared the cut off... So you in the list for consideration ... So you will have to go through counseling process like 1st round 2nd round. IIIT doesn't give merit list so one can never know what their rank is so we will have to wait.

So in short, you have cleared their cut off now if you are ahead in the list you will get seat in the 1st round otherwise in subsequent rounds and if seats are filled then there is a chance that you may not get a seat.

So we cannot judge anything as of now. And thats exactly why i asked the question. If you know how many students are shortlisted the  we can get an idea of our chances. Like for 120 seats we have more chances if less number of people are shortlisted.
