How many runs a batsman can score in one day match (50 overs / 300 balls) with no wides, no balls, no extras and no over throws?

Answer 1

5 sixes in every over in 5 balls till 49 and  3 runs in last ball of over to keep strike

(5*6+3)*49=1617

in last over max runs 6*6=36

so total 1617+36=1653

Actually this question is not suitable for an exam like GATE because a candidate is not expected to know the rules of cricket (like batsman changing after every over, an over having 6 balls etc). And explaining them is not so easy. Now even if we assume everyone knows the rules, it should be mentioned “assuming no more than 4 runs are taken by running between the wickets”.
