Question

Can someone please suggest weather to go for 20.5 or 21 in these kind of problems in GATE? As logically 21 is correct, but mathematically 20.5 is correct.

Both the answers can be reasoned correct and wrong, feels like “Umpire’s call” in DRS, cricket.

window size must be integer. Since 50% utilization must be achieved (can be greater than this), 21 is the answer even if the final calculation gives 20.001.

Packet size is only Interger because Either packet send or not . We can not send Half packet SO If we send 20 packet then some bytes are left. OKay I will give you simple Example

Suppose In your Family 7 people are going for Tour And IN a one car Only 5 people sit how many car you need--- you need to 2 cars right .

But according to your you need 1.5 car which is never Happen
