Pick the odd one from the following options.

• A. $\text{CADBE}$
• B. $\text{JHKIL}$
• C. $\text{XVYWZ}$
• D. $\text{ONPMQ}$

yes. Answer can be XVYWZ based on your logic.

If we decode the english characters into numbers by following decoding pattern as: $A=1,B=2,…,Y=25,Z=26$

Then if we take decoded number of middle character from each of the given options as:

1. Middle Character is ‘D’ which represents the number = 4
2. Middle Character is ‘K’ which represents the number = 11
3. Middle Character is ‘Y’ which represents the number = 25
4. Middle Character is ‘P’ which represents the number = 16

 Now, we can see only $11$ is a prime number and based on this logic, option (B) should be correct.

It is also possible another logic which makes option (A) as possible.

So, There is not a single logic which makes some option correct. In exam, people may think different different logic and mark the options. So, according to me these type of questions where we have to find odd one or fill the sequence of numbers, should not be asked in exam.

check first 2 latters...there is gap of 1 latter...but check D no gap...

Why can't we take odd one as each contains atleast one vowel but C contain none? So C??

Simply check,

option A. CADBE, here, difference between C and A is 2.

option B. JHKIL, here, difference between J and H is 2.

option C. XVYWZ, here, difference between X and V is 2.

option D. ONPMQ, here, difference between O and N is 1.

Answer is option(D).
