But, 64 is out of pattern.

Additions of odd numbers (3,5,7,9…..) to the given number will give the next number. The pattern of the given series is as follows:

  • $2+3=5$
  • $5+5=10$
  • $10+7=17$
  • $17+9=26$
  • $26+11=37$
  • $37+13=50$
  • $50+15=65$

Therefore $64$ is the incorrect number here.
