IISc vs IITB

Question

I've seen many questions, comparing IISc Banglore & IIT Bombay.  But to be honest I did not find it complete.

So I'm asking question here, for comparing IISc and IIT Bombay on following points =>

1. Placement opportunities

2. Research opportunities in MTech

3. Faculty interaction

4. Campus life

5. Courses + Course Load + Type of courses -Theory/Application oriented

6. Auditing Undergrad courses (Can someone audit 1-2 undergrad course per sem, how humanly it is possible?)

7. Alumni Network + Brand Value

8. Competition with BTech (Good or Bad)

9. TA Ship -> Asset or Liability

10. Location Factor -> Mumbai is better location for longer term. (At least from those in Maharasthra !)

11. Other things like

     11.1 Mess food

     11.2 Hostel Rooms

     11.3 Internet connectivity

     11.4 Anything else on top of mind which you want to mention

please add other points which are appropriate.

Also does by choosing IITB over IISc, what one will miss/gain in long run ?  Will there be any significant difference ?

So, finally what's the conclusion in comparing IISC(CSA) and IITB(TA) ?

my heart says IISC but mind prefers bombay. I am really confused.

If you want to learn yourself, both institutes are good and have quality syllabus or courses offered. But when it comes to faculty, then IITB has an edge over IISC. If classroom teaching is one point in your list, then it it IITB always. Talk to students in IISC and IITB and then make your decision.
