A java syntax analyser that can recognize values and say wrong operation or error if unaccepted

Come up with a java syntax analyzer that can recognize:

X+y

x-y

x/y

x*y

and if x+, -x, it should say wrong operation or an error.

Come up with a C syntax analyzer that does the above. why is the one of java better?

Subject : Databse Topic: 2pl locking protocol..... If the given schedule is allowed under any 2pl( basic 2pl,strict or rigorous) then it is also allowed in conflict serializble , so if the schedule which is allowed in conflict serializable then also we can say it will be allowed in 2pl?

Made Easy test series. Doubt: My output for this question is => 1,2 and this isn't present in any of the options. Can someone please help me understand this, as per my logic, I am terminating the loop at i= 4 because of short circuit due to OR operation. Please let me know if this approach is correct or I am missing out on something.
