You can check those two Wikipedia links i provided before, as everyone trust wikipedia. Any modern operating system now a days is both muti-user and multi-tasking. 0 votes 0 votes ManojK commented May 21, 2016 reply Follow Share But in this link given that https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-user multi-user operating systems such as Windows versions from the Windows NT family support simultaneous access by multiple users . 0 votes 0 votes $ourav commented May 21, 2016 reply Follow Share That is exactly what multi-user means. When multiple users are accessing the OS at the same time it is called multi-user. When multiple processes are accessing the CPU at the same time it is called muti-tasking. Both of them are same conceptually but used in different context. 0 votes 0 votes rude commented May 22, 2016 reply Follow Share @srestha Dude instead of posting google search link, post the webpage, which have good concrete explanation. This is a bad practice. 0 votes 0 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
0 votes 0 votes Multi-User means time sharing where several users can access the OS at the same time. Multi-Tasking means executing several tasks (multiple processes accessing the CPU at the same time). Both the terminologies are same conceptually (concurrent execution) but used in different context. Now coming to the question, all four of them are multi-user and multi-tasking.
