Bandwidth is defined as the difference between the highest and lowest frequencies of a given signal .

here highest frequency=4 MHZ ,lowest frequency=40 KHZ=0.04 MHZ

so bandwith=(4-0.04) MHZ =3.96 MHZ   ,OPTION (C)
