What is the correct subnet mask to use for a class-B address to support 30 Networks and also have the most hosts possible?

  1. 255.255.255.0
  2. 255.255.192.0

Class B has masking 255.255.0.0

If we need to support 30 networks , then we have to steal 5 bits from host bits 

2^5= 32 networks can be supported at most 

So 255.255.11111000

245.255.248.0
