the outgoing line =9600 bps

terminal multiplexer has six 1200 bps so total traffic(1200*6) =7200bps

and there are  n  300 bps terminals

so 7200+300*n=9600 => 300 n=2400 =>n=8

Hence ans is B

Since there are six 1200 bps terminals,

therefore 6 x 1200 + n x 300 = 9600.

n = 8.
