3 votes 3 votes Answer : B Baud Rate = 2*Bit Rate Baud Rate = 2*10 =>20 megabaud shekhar chauhan answered Jul 16, 2016 shekhar chauhan comment Share Follow See all 2 Comments See all 2 2 Comments reply Ritwik commented May 12, 2017 i edited by Ritwik May 12, 2017 reply Follow Share Link 1. The baud rate is the rate of signal change on the medium (usually expressed as a worst-case value). Since 10 Mb/s Ethernet uses one transition (per bit) for the clock, and a second transition for data(in the worst-case), it has a baud rate of 20 Mbaud. Link 2. However, using baud to measure Ethernet communication is not the best way of doing things, because it forces us to consider the physical layer, rather than the actual implementation's speed - which is why most people refer to Ethernet speed in bits per second, or degrees thereof. 0 votes 0 votes shaktisingh commented Nov 24, 2019 reply Follow Share can you relate with this formula? Bit rate = baud rate * no of bits in a baud so, baud rate = bit rate / no of bits in a baud how many no of bits in a baud here? Note : The Ethernet uses Manchester encoding, which means it has two signal periods per bit sent 0 votes 0 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
0 votes 0 votes The Ethernet uses Manchester encoding, which means it has two signal periods per bit sent. The data rate of the standard Ethernet is 100-Mbps, so the baud rate is 200 Mbaud. Hence,Option(B)20 Megabaud. LeenSharma answered Jul 16, 2016 LeenSharma comment Share Follow See all 0 reply Please log in or register to add a comment.
