Let P denote the set of all positive integers and $S=\{(x,y) : x \in P$ and $x^2 – y^2 =666$. The number of distinct elements in the set $S$ is

  1. 0;
  2. 1;
  3. 2;
  4. more than two

(x+y)(x-y)=666

Now 666 can be divided in 3X222, 111X6,2X333,22X33...

now let the first case X+Y=222 x-y=3 now addin 2X=225

In every cases in eqaution 2X=ODD number

so answer is 0..
