Bcz after acquiring the channel only the data packet is sent?explain pls? annie1234 asked Sep 5, 2016 annie1234 548 views answer comment Share Follow See all 0 reply Please log in or register to add a comment.
0 votes 0 votes in csma / cd after detecting the collision we have to send data again thats why we have to retransmit the data acak1994 answered Sep 7, 2016 acak1994 comment Share Follow See all 4 Comments See all 4 4 Comments reply annie1234 commented Sep 7, 2016 i edited by annie1234 Sep 7, 2016 reply Follow Share No .. initially we send control packets . Data packet will be sent after acquiring the channel .but when we acquire the channel then that data will not have any collision . So where is the the concept of retransmition of data. So a/c to me data packets will not damage by collision . ... so explain the reason of re transmission of data 0 votes 0 votes Sushant Gokhale commented Sep 30, 2016 reply Follow Share @Ridhi. Thats not correct. IN CSMA/CD, if the channel is sensed idle then the sender waits some small amount of time and then checks again if the channel is idle. If idle, it transmits the frame/data directly. If not idle, then waits for some amount of time again(as determined by algorithm) and the process repeats. 0 votes 0 votes annie1234 commented Oct 2, 2016 reply Follow Share @Shushant Gokhale It happens in csma not in csma/cd. And the retransmission is bcz of internal noise 0 votes 0 votes Sushant Gokhale commented Oct 3, 2016 reply Follow Share @Ridhi. First csma cant exists alone. There has to be some sort of mechanism to know if the packet has actually reached the destination. Second, I have borrowed this text from Kurose-Ross book. 0 votes 0 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
