Doubt about propagation time

Question

one of my teacher told that in normal cases T_p=d/v

but in question if it is given a link between satelite and any object in earth,then it should be T_p=2d/v

is it correct?

Normally, a packet travels from source to destination. For a satellite communication, it travels from source to satellite and then from satellite to destination. Depending on what $d$ is the formula changes here. Of course one should never remember such formula unless there is free RAM and no CPU.

and also for such questions they will give propagation time directly i think....and we could be asked for other paramenters..
