As u can see in the description above the first subscript 2 tells the number of arrays, which is undoubtedly two.The next 2 subscripts define the totalnumber of arrays present in the array. So two arrays of two rows and columns respectively. The cells are equally spaced. However,sorry for d drawing. I made it in paint. 

The first assignment

*p=&a[2][2][2] is the assignment of last element of 2nd array.

In a similar *q hasn't been assigned anything. My only motive is to make u understand the concept more b8r. Please xomply with d drawing.
