it is main aim for more no of tasks should complete in less time by sharing resources.

if only one cpu is execute the task if it fails we are revertback,if that task is executed by more no of cpu's we can get data back even one cpu fails.

you can argue that all 4 can be aimed at the same time cause WHY NOT?

but a basic distributed system must prioritize "process of controlled resource sharing" above all other requirements..
