Q. A relation is in.............if an attribute of composite  key is dependent on an attribute of other composite key.

A) 2NF

B) BCNF

C) 3NF

D) 1NF

i think option D is correct???plz check it

A relation to be in 2NF  then all attributes of the key should be fully functionallly depended . Here One Attribute of Prime Attribute is depended on other hence it cannot be fully functionally depended. Hence  Relation is in 1NF only

Its's in 3Nf as the given dependency is not a partail dependency because the other attribute is also prime attribute. like if there are 2 keys ab and cd and we are talking about b and c they are saying they have something like a->d. as both are prime attribute it will be in 3nf. Read partial dependency for more details
