This Year's MHRD Rankings for Engineering and Overall -

@Arjun sir, How is bits pilani for mtech cse?? Is it worth joining???
Your bits scores?
160 score

@sushmita Yes, BITS Pilani is really nice. I do not know how good it is for Research though it is in this list.

Arjun sir i am.having mixed reviews regarding bits especially it's high fees is one of the negative factor. But I think it's worth it rather than dropping an year?
Where did you see those reviews? A review should come from an actual BITS alumni. I know many people are there who won't join BITS saying the same reason. But in India we have people who join private medical college paying 5,000,000 rupees just for the sake of getting "Dr". And people go and pay similar amounts while doing MS in United States -- at least return is there for that. In India, even in IIMs fee is more than a million from long back. IITs will soon reach that level. Everyone asks about CS placement packages. Just assume Rs. 1,000,000 per annum for a CS faculty and multiply by 10. This would mean collecting a fee of Rs, 50,000 per student assuming a strength of 200 in a college. This ignores all other expense like staff salary, building expense etc. Good colleges have to do this; rest of them will reduce the fee and similarly the faculty quality. In India we even see people suggesting to join JNU for free course as compared to BITS -- as long as such people lives; reviews must be read only from authentic persons.
There are not many Authentic persons giving reviews about BITS Pilani .....thats the problem...
You are absolutely right Arjun sir. And if the college is good it's worth taking but yes we are not getting genuine and authentic reviews of bits pilani. Everyone has something different to say which has no authenticity
Thanx a lot Arjun sir. These statistics have provided a better insight and have cleared many of my doubts. Thanku so much. I think it'd worth joining bits pilani.
Arjun sir, which is better IIIT Delhi or bits pilani?  Which one should be preferred?
i have done mtech from IIIT Delhi and found academics, environment to be very good. placements also were very good. and if you want to lean towards research then also it is great.

you have not mentioned what are your expectations from mtech, as the answer can vary much depending upon it.

brand - bitspilani>iiitdelhi

placemnents for mtech - bitspilani=iiitdelhi

research oppurtunities - iiitdelhi>bitspilani

Feel free to disagree with appropriate arguments.
