Booklet B

wrong keys

14

19 printing mistake in question hence grammar can not be ambiguous

22

@akhil Sorry. There is less chance. But 15 marks can be changed after answer debate.
Sir according to you what could be the cut-off marks for written. Last year it was 116 (out of 231)
hi arjun sir

mine is 132..is there any chance?? plz tell..
key for 40th question in booklet A is blunder mistake.
Recursive descent parser is an example of bottom up or top down?
Is it correct?
sir my marks is 137, any chance
130+ should be safe. Last year it was 116 - your guess is as good as mine -I'm not in exam board :)
@Arjun sir can u plz check qstn number 28 and 72 of set A.. 28 i think it should be option a (n/2) and 72 does not contain the right ans which is 64 and 1022 ..

Anyone, I have secured 146/240, 52 correct and 10 incorrect. If answer keys are revised it will be  150+ marks. What chances do I have? If any, when the results will be out and the expected interview dates?

my marks 158/240 , 55 correct and 7 incorrect(according to gateoverflow discussion), what chances of selection in written test. Anyone please tell me expected cutoff?

All answers are already given here -

http://gateoverflow.in/tag/isro2016

Question 28 - http://gateoverflow.in/2742/gate1996-2-13-isro2016-28

Question 72 - depends on whether they include non usable subnets in count or not- but there was no confusing options..

I think correct option  to question 17 is B

Because 2's complement of positive number is same as it's binary form.

And To represent 2's complement of options A D

The number of digits required = 5

And option C 1000

in my opinion should not be correct because

In 2's complement 1000 means -8
i got 59th as b only ...used this block size=n(k+r)+B where according to ques B (block pointer) shdn't be used

Sir could you please check
@srinivas you are talking about 2's complement representation where positive numbers are represented in its binary and negative numbers in its 2's complement form. But here the question just asks for the 2's complement of the number.
Question 12 is also wrong - updated..
Que 35 answer key is correct.
35 answer is B not D. "aabb" "aaabbb" etc are not generated.
Why not sir?
ab, ba

We can take all combinations of these. But we cannot get "aabb", because after first a, there is a 'b' in grammar production. No rule allows "aa" to come at first.

how many of you have already sent the wrong keys explanations to isro? else sending the same thing will be redundant cheeky

Answers of 12 , 38, 59 in answer key are correct one.(computer science,booklet code -A)
@anonymous arguing without reason is stupidity. They are wrong and reason also given in the links - you can click on those question numbers. If you find anything wrong in the given reason say that..
INTRODUCTION TO THEORY OF AUTOMATA, FORMAL LANGUAGES, AND COMPUTATION By DEBIDAS GHOSH For question no. 38 read this book... page no. 17 and 18
In India anyone can write a book. So, it does not matter. Question 38 you can refer Peter Linz, but even wikipedia says otherwise. So, answer is debatable.
Type-3 grammars (regular grammars) generate the regular languages. Such a grammar restricts its rules to a single nonterminal on the left-hand side and a right-hand side consisting of a single terminal, possibly followed by a single nonterminal (right regular). Alternatively, the right-hand side of the grammar can consist of a single terminal, possibly preceded by a single nonterminal (left regular); From wikipedia. Single terminal only allowed on right hand side. The third production contains 3 terminals on right hand side. So type 2 only.

From Peter Linz, see $x \in T^*.$

Anyone has any idea about when the ISRO results will be declared?
Check martin also even martin says this is not strict
