Regarding PHD at IITs
In the cutoff list presented by gateoverflow , for direct PHD at IITs the criteria written is mostly x% in btech+gate score.In some of the places its specified that gate score is above 600 etc. So how do we know the exact cutoff for PHDs at IITs. Upto what gate score do they usually call. Please confirm. Thanks.

Gate 2017 set 2 Admission
I am expecting 55 marks this yea(2017) in set2...in 2016 my normalized score was 52.81 and gate score was 664 and AIR 1025.. I have good academic %s in 10th, 12th and have 8.6 CGPA in BE. I didnt have any research paper published. Is there any ... entry....i don't want to end up filling excel sheets.. Is there anything I can do....any suggestion will be much appreciated

Career advice
I am 2016 pass out.i dropped a year for gate and scored 461 marks 35 with rank 5361.i took online coaching of ******** sir in the month of July and saw his videos till October and practiced gate previous year questions.i did a major blunder by not taking notes ... in interviews and I will be rejected because of the two year drop.I don't know wat to do.please tell me what should I do.

What after gate for low score ?
I dropped an year and fully prepared for gate , I left job at a service based company and prepared for 6 months. Now I got only 37 marks in gate because I couldn't handle pressure in exam. I am currently jobless. Instead of hunting for a ... a software developer at a product company and then 6 at a service company. I am 2016 passout and this was my first attempt.

Hello.Can anybody tell me how to prepare for barc.There is no proper syllabus mentioned in their official website.Should i prepare gate syllabus only or something other than that is also required.IShould i prepare for java or c++ also .I have Isro Ppr for reference also.Any sort of help would be seriously appreciated.

GO College Predictor
Why aren't the new IITs especially IIT Gandhinagar mentioned in any of the lists in GO college predictor. Don't they take MTech admissions for CSE and if they take what are the cut offs for these IITs. And can they be preferred over colleges like IIITH, IIITD or IIITB?

COAP 2018 registration help
I tried to register on the COAP 2018 site this morning.I do have a valid score card of this year's gate.But it's giving me error saying "invalid registration number".I tried all combinations of the registration number(since it was instructed ... that same error.Can anyone else confirm if they are getting a similar error,or if there is any mistake on my part.

Eligibility Criteria for MTech Admission
If someone has less that 60 % (i.e. Second class in Engineering), General Category and get good rank in GATE. (Though not good enough for admission in IISc Banglore! Say AIR 400, AIR 200 or something like that ) What are chances of getting admission ... ( I got 65+ % in engg, This is question I'm asking for someone else !) Please answer if you know anything.

Updates on Last Ranks
After our GATE we had no idea where to apply etc. There was this GATE Forum site which had a predictor which showed some data.
