The average and median package offered was INR 18.80 LPA and INR 18 LPA during IIT Ropar placements 2022, respectively. A total of 252 students were placed and 100% placement rate was recorded during placements 2022 ...
M.Tech placements are almost completely driven by core jobs unlike the undergraduate placements which also rely on non core jobs.
At IIT GN, for the class of 2023
, M.Tech placements have an average salary of around 7.2 LPA with the minimum salary being 6 LPA. However, the percentage of students placed is on the lower side as compared to the undergraduate placement scenario which can be attributed to the aforementioned reason. The average salary figure is lower than what it is for undergrads (8.36 LPA) also because non core jobs have been high paying as compared to core jobs.
This year, M.Tech students have got placed in companies such as John Deere, Johnson Controls, Belcan India, Bombardier Transportation, Marvell Semiconductor, Hyundai Motors, RKC Infrabuilt, MCX India, almost all of which have offered core jobs.
The process is still going on with companies like General Electric, Reliance Jio Infocomm, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hatch Associates, GIFT, etc. The numbers would surely get better in coming days....
Around 90% of students got placed in CSE. In 2022, the placements were better than last year. The highest package offered is 50 LPA by DE Shaw. The average package is 22 LPA, and the lowest package is 6 LPA...
