How many hosts are possible with subnet mask 255.240.0.0 ?

255.240.0.0 = 11111111.11110000.00000000.00000000

since the host ID part has 20 zeros then total no. of hosts = 2^20

total assignable hosts are 2^20 -2 ( as two of host id are used for Net ID and Broadcast address)
