10 votes 10 votes Indian currency notes show the denomination indicated in at least seventeen languages. If this is not an indication of the nation's diversity, nothing else is. Which of the following can be logically inferred from the above sentences? India is a country of exactly seventeen languages. Linguistic pluralism is the only indicator of a nation's diversity. Indian currency notes have sufficient space for all the Indian languages. Linguistic pluralism is strong evidence of India's diversity. B is incorrect because of the word 'only' in the option, which is too strong to be inferred. C is incorrect as it says 'space for all Indian languages', but the number of languages in India is not mentioned in the question. D is correct as it can be easily inferred from the statement. 0 votes 0 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.

Linguistic pluralism is the only indicator of a nation's diversity. Say proposition P, Q P = Linguistic pluralism is the indicator of a nation’s diversity Q = Other criteria(Say Clothes, Religion) is an indicator of a nation’s diversity. Focus on this statement, “If this is not an indication of the nation's diversity, nothing else is”. $\sim P\rightarrow \sim Q$ This is equivalent to $Q\rightarrow P$ So, if other criteria(Say Clothes, Religion) is an indicator of a nation’s diversity then Linguistic is also. So Linguistic pluralism is not the only indicator of nation’s diversity. 2 votes 2 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
