What notation did you refer to? Please guide me. 0 votes 0 votes Rahul Jain25 commented Jan 17, 2017 reply Follow Share @hardesh I have one doubt, In 1 st table what are candidate keys??? Is it A and D as two seperate CK's or AD will form a compund CK??? 0 votes 0 votes Hradesh patel commented Jan 17, 2017 reply Follow Share @Priya yes 1-1 relation ..........one thing keep in mind always if 1-1 relation and atleast one side total participation than only 1 table is required. 1 votes 1 votes Hradesh patel commented Jan 17, 2017 reply Follow Share @Rahul primary key = D and alternative key =A 0 votes 0 votes Rahul Jain25 commented Jan 17, 2017 reply Follow Share So A can also be selected as PK, right???? Depends on DBA?? 0 votes 0 votes User007 commented Jan 17, 2017 reply Follow Share Thanks Hradesh. But I have got one more doubt. By double lines we can say that Participation is Total and hence Minimum Cardinality is 1. But how can we comment about relationship being One-One unless we know that Maximum cardinality of both tables is 1. Which symbol did you refer to, to conclude that Max cardinality of both tables is 1? Please guide. Thanks a lot. 0 votes 0 votes Supremo commented Jan 19, 2017 reply Follow Share see @Hardesh it says defferent http://www.edugrabs.com/conversion-of-er-model-to-relational-model/ 0 votes 0 votes User007 commented Jan 20, 2017 reply Follow Share Hradesh has also said the same. 0 votes 0 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
