thanks...i got it, i was thinking something else... i thought qsn is saying two geometric means OF a and c...but it was 2 geometric mean BETWEEN a and c

GMs for two numbers a & c are not sqrt(ac) & -sqrt(ac) as they both will not be in the GP with a & c i.e.

a, sqrt(ac), -sqrt(ac), c
