sql query

Question

student-id is a primary key in one table

similarly student-id is a foreign key in another table

so by using the delete cascade method if we del. an student-id in one table then automatically student-id is deleted in another table.

my que is that after deleting the student-id whether the foreign key becomes valid or invalid???

delete means deleting tuple ( even though you delete whole tuples also, schema doesn't change i.e., still Foreign Key Constraint exist )

but you are assuming that from the schema, that field removing ===> It is altering the table.
