We know that a weak entity has no primary key .

SO ,  A weak entity is an entity that cannot be uniquely identified by its attributes alone . Does it mean it has duplicates and it always a multi-set  ?

Weak entity normally can be identified in connection with strong entity also . They are connected by an identifying relation. But it does not mean that it should always have duplicates . it need not be always multi set
