Question

In the following question common lcs numbers are 4 so first 3 option should be correct or only first...there is no only written in 2,3 like only 2 or 3 so we can mark 2,3 option also?

it says unique, if 2 unique exits then 3 or 5 unique can not exists.

There is 4 unique LCS are possible so is it wrong to say that 2 unique sequence possible or 3 unique sequence possible?

 

By only I was saying ....it is not written like only 2 sequence are possible then it should be wrong.

uhmm, yeah makes sense, I am not sure, try finding a similar pyq and see what was the ans given.

I personally feels we should choose unique 4 in such case, that is what question intend to ask and you will not get such ambiguous options in GATE exam. But yeah just in case be prepared. All the best.

In case it is an MSQ, both 2 and 3 will be correct apart from 1. The options can be understood in the following manner as well “Are there 2 distinct LCS?”, “Are there 3 distinct LCS?”.

Since you can find 4 distinct ones, you can say Yes to both.
If its a single choice MCQ then they will give the exact option too and mention (In this case, go with only option 1)
