Consider a system with $16$-bit virtual address space and a single-level page table. Page size is $16$ Byte and each page-table entry (PTE) occupies $1$ byte. The snapshot of the main memory for the process is given below:

  1. virtual address: 8192
  2. virtual address: 4095

What are the physical addresses corresponding to the given virtual addresses?

  1. (i) $256$,     (ii) $16015$
  2. (i) $1072$,   (ii) $ 65535$
  3. (i) $256$,     (ii) $65535$
  4. (ii) $1072$,  (ii) $16015$

Physical address $\boldsymbol{=}$ frame No * page size $\boldsymbol{+}$ offset

(i) $8192=512 * 16+0$

(ii) $4095=255 * 16+15$

Page $512 \rightarrow$ Frame $67$

Page $255 \rightarrow$ Frame $100$

(i) $8192=67 * 16+0=1072$

(ii) $4095=1000 * 16+15=16015$
