Maximum running process does depend on CPU core .

If cpu is C core then there can be C running process out of N , therefore N-C prempted.

option a ) false

dosent justify if we are running 3 process concurrently so atmax 2 could be prempted then only statment could be justified.

option b) false

option c ) false

To be in ready state there is no such relation to cores of Cpu , there can be any no of processes in ready state os will pick process acc to the cores in Cpu available from there.

option d ) true
