0 votes 0 votes plz explain why? To switch between user level threads context switch is not required. Is it same for kernel level threads also? cse23 asked Dec 8, 2016 cse23 472 views answer comment Share Follow See all 3 Comments See all 3 3 Comments reply Ashwani Kumar 2 commented Dec 8, 2016 reply Follow Share For user level thread context switch time is faster than kernel thread. It is very faster so we can assume that time to be negligible but that time exists. Then why are you saying it doesn't require any context switch. For kernel level thread it is not same they do require a significant context switch time..!! 0 votes 0 votes cse23 commented Dec 8, 2016 reply Follow Share ya that's true I know context switch is fast in user level threads but in made easy solution it is given that for user level threads we need only procedure calls not the context switch so I wanted to clear my doubt 0 votes 0 votes Ashwani Kumar 2 commented Dec 8, 2016 reply Follow Share Ok fine..!!
