After I accept and freeze an offer in COAP for an IIT, let's say Kharagpur then what will the upcoming tasks that I have to do? Like whether I have to pay some amount and when they will ask me to pay, and what will happen after payment i.e will I be getting subsequent information after all the rounds end?

I need some honest help So I feel like going to IIT guwahati for mtech in cse but at the same time I am also feeling that not choosing higher IIT's can be a mistake. People say that placements are same in all old IIT's but ... enough placement in cse and hostel with single accomodation.
