What is the probability that the sum total of your rolls is at least 4? 9/8 9/16 3/5 1/16 vijay_jr asked Apr 4, 2017 vijay_jr 910 views answer comment Share Follow See all 6 Comments See all 6 6 Comments reply Show 3 previous comments vijay_jr commented Apr 5, 2017 reply Follow Share in 3rd line why not 1/4*1/4? 0 votes 0 votes rfzahid commented Apr 5, 2017 reply Follow Share In 3rd line, if 4 comes then the target of a sum total of rolls = 4 is achieved right there. So 1/4 is the probability of getting 4. 3 votes 3 votes ASKG18 commented Apr 11, 2017 reply Follow Share The 3rd line, refers to a scenario of getting 4 on the 1st dice. In which case, you are not allowed to roll the dice, for 2nd time. So, Probability of getting sum of rolls as atleast 4 => Probability of getting 4 on 1st dice. => 1/4 <-- only for the scenario we are referring to. 0 votes 0 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
