Essential Prime implicants means those prime implicants that contain at least one min-term not found in any other prime implicant.

 

Here 1's covered through red mark are Essential because those 1's (corner Quadruple) are not covered by any other prime implicants. 1's covered shown by Blue Lines are also essential prime implicants as Left 1 in blue box can only be covered through this duble. and Now, one more quadruple(shown by green line)will be formed to cover 1 in 3rd row 1st column. 

So ans will be Option B
