Correct Option given is B. 0 0 replyShare Smishra95 commented Oct 22, 2018 reply Follow flag Ohhh Got it......we have to implement LIFO . when ever a process comes in ready queue its priority must be highest since it is preemptive schedule . So when a process ENQUEUED in priority queue its priority will be Y and running processlets say R, have increamenting rate of B . Our aim is to make a context swtich between newly entered process lets say N so priority of N must be higher that R so Y>Bita and since no any older process scheduled to CPU we also confirm that N's priority mmust be higher that all processes in READY queue thats why Y>Alfa too. and these both must follow together thats why AND is i between . I have a doubt occording " rate " because when we talk about rate its continuosly increasing . SO i assumed the when process enetr in ready queue it priority setted to Y and when it goes to Running state it become B and alfa in ready queue . Hope it will clear up you more . 0 0 replyShare Please log in or register to add a comment.
0 0 votes I guess correct answer is option B. As required scheduling is LIFO so the process that arrivals late should have higher priority thus $\gamma$ should be greater than the rate at which the priority is increasing at ready queue such that the last entered process has highest priority to enter the running state. And To allow the last process to preempt the running process $\gamma$ should also be greater than $\beta$ Soumya Tiwari answered Oct 22, 2018 Soumya Tiwari comment Share Follow 0 reply Please log in or register to add a comment.
