I have done the calculations as shown below but I do not know if my approach is correct. I would appreciate if I get some feedback

Part 1

  1. Consider a network based on pure ALOHA with Poisson distributed traffic. If the success

probability is equal to P = 0.05, calculate the following:

  • the overall rate G of transmission attempts per packet duration?
  • the throughput S.

     2. Pure ALOHA is used in a network where the maximum data rate is 96 kbit/s. All packets that are transmitted have size of 64 byte and every terminal in the network sends 3 packets per minutes on average.

  • What is the access rate on the channel if there are 50, 500, and 5000 terminals connected?
  • Calculate the throughput of the network for the given number of terminals.
