Self study, preparation question, no source

Question

How do I begin my GATE preparation to get in top 50 in GATE 2020 now? I'm a Mechanical Engineering student at an NIT, know basic coding but not the core subjects. Is there time left to read standard books? Is there someone on this platform who has actually done this?
