Everything in the computer is binary.
We have two types of integers:Signed and Unsigned.

Signed:Computers stored signed binary numbers in 2’s complement form.
If the number is positive then MSB is kept 0 and stored in normal binary else MSB contains a 1 followed by 2’s complement representation of the number.
Max range that can be represented using n bits in 2;s complement system -2$^{n-1}$ to 2$^{n-1}$-1.

Unsigned Numbers are represented as binary (no 2’s complement system is used).Max range that can be represented using n bits with normal binary binary representation : 0 to 2$^{n}$-1.
