Let the number of correct answers and wrong answers be x and y

Now, the total number of questions = 20

Hence, x + y = 20....(1)

For every correct answer, you get 5Rs and for every wrong answer, you lose 4Rs

Total amount contestant has = 55

Hence, 5x - 4y = 55....(2)

Solving 1 and 2,  you'll get

x=15 and y=5.

Thus, the number of correct answers = 15
