Balu can be  the TALLEST.

Ravi cannot  be the answer since it is clearly mentioned that he is shorter than Iqbal.

Iqbal and Balu could be the tallest as no comparison is provided where these two are smaller than anyone.

But Iqbal is not mentioned in options. 😊

Hence, Balu (see the usage of 'can' in the question)

Given conditions:

  1. Ravi is taller than Arun but shorter than Iqbal

    Iqbal>Ravi>ArunIqbal > Ravi > ArunIqbal>Ravi>Arun
  2. Sam is shorter than Ravi

    Ravi>SamRavi > SamRavi>Sam
  3. Mohan is shorter than Arun

    Arun>MohanArun > MohanArun>Mohan
  4. Balu is taller than both Mohan and Sam

    Balu>Mohan,Balu>SamBalu > Mohan, \quad Balu > SamBalu>Mohan,Balu>Sam
  • Given choices: Mohan, Ravi, Balu, Arun.
  • We know Iqbal is the tallest overall, but he is not an option.
  • Ravi is taller than Arun, and Arun is taller than Mohan.
  • Balu is taller than both Mohan and Sam, but we don't have a direct comparison between Balu and Ravi.

To conclude that Balu is the tallest among the options
