Question

consider a paged virtual memory management system having 32 bit virtual addresses with page size 1 KB .each page table entry required 32 bits.It is desired to limit the page table size into one page .if Suresh uses smaller page size at the first level of page table hierarchy ,then the number of pages needed are _??

answer given as 65793

my answer -16449. please verify

@Prateek Raghuvanshi, I think you got idea from above comment how this will be designed because at first inner level we are using smaller page size that's why we require more number of pages.

according to u.. 8 + 8 +6 + 10 

see according to u outer level page table  has $2^8$ entries  so out of these entrie select one entries out of these in $2^8$... now for 2nd level ......again select from $ 2^8 $  entries .............

I AM LITTLE CONFUSED IN  VISUALSING THIS CONCEPT RIGHT NOW PLZZ HELP ,

yes @Deepanshu from this selected one entry out of $2^{8}$ entries at top level point to next $2^{8}$ entries of second level and one entry from second inner table point to $2^{6}$ entries to first inner table.
